who we are
Chris Dorsey Architects is a Los Angeles based architecture firm specializing in creative commercial buildings, environments, and spaces.
Our work is rooted in the belief that architecture should be expressive, intentional, and evocative. We embrace the notion that art and design have the power change the world, even if only one tenant improvement at a time. In a world where everything is becoming more digital, we love the analog. The experience of music on vinyl, the feel of a handmade object, the visual presence of a darkroom print. While we certainly utilize the latest digital technologies in our process, we embrace art, handcraft, and true materials in our design.
Our process is one of collaboration and creative exploration, where we champion the best ideas from wherever they may come. We approach each project as a new story being told from the very beginning. Working closely with our clients to understand their specific needs, and examining the existing site conditions to unlock the uniqueness and hidden potential we can harness, we are problem solvers as much as we are artists, and editors as much as we are creators. Though each project is unique, the goal remains the same. A satisfied client excited about their new building, a business thriving in its new space, an architecture that leaves a lasting impression on those who experience it.
We are licensed to practice architecture in California as well as a few other states.
